Do you think this reorientation is attainable for everyone? The more I work with other adults, the more I wonder whether having an optimistic worldview is primarily a fixed characteristic.
I don't see any reason to believe that people can't change their disposition on this kind of thing. I do suspect it might be something like a muscle that benefits from regular exertion and use.
I hope that by offering some proactive measures we could help people try flexing these muscles!
