Off the record, at the table
Introducing our new moderated dinner series
🍽️ Apply now to join our community and receive invites to our curated dinner series.
We’ve been listening to your feedback from our recent events, and one message came through loud and clear: you want more meaningful time with the founders building the companies you’re considering joining.
Picking an early-stage company is a people bet. You can study the pitch deck and stalk the founder’s Linkedin, but none of that tells you whether you’re aligned with the personalities, the pace, and the energy of the team. The more unstructured time you get with founders, the faster you figure out if it’s a fit or not.
Today, we’re excited to introduce something built exactly for this: our Founder Dinner Series. These dinners are our way of creating space for those conversations to happen.

Behind the Format
Intimate by Design: Each dinner is deliberately intimate, with only a handful of attendees. The limited group ensures you get the opportunity for engaged conversations with the founder, creating space for probing questions, candid discussion, and a deeper understanding of the company’s inner workings. We emphasize conversation over presentation.
For Serious Explorers: These seats are reserved for engineers who are actively exploring opportunities and genuinely interested in learning about the companies we’re featuring. We’re looking for people who are serious about their next move and want to do their due diligence thoughtfully.
Completely Off the Record: Everything discussed at these dinners stays at the table. These conversations won’t be recorded, shared, or posted anywhere. We’re creating a confidential space where founders can be candid and you can ask the questions that really matter to you.
Coming up
We’ll be sharing more about each dinner on our Luma, Linkedin, and community slack (apply here if you’re not a member already!). Here’s a sneak peak of what’s to come:
If you’re an engineer exploring opportunities, you can request invites to each dinner on their respective Luma pages:
(11/20) Winning the Minerals Race (Mariana Minerals founder Juan Lozano in conversation with FYSK emcee David King)
(12/2) Seat at the Table (Owner founder Adam Guild in conversation with Instacart founder Max Mullen)
(12/2) Underwriting Superintelligence (AIUC founder Rune Kvist in conversation with Newfront Insurance founder Gordon Wintrob)
If you’re serious about exploring your next opportunity and want to dive deeper into the next breakout companies, these dinners are your chance to do just that. Seats are limited, conversations are candid, and the insights are invaluable.
We can’t wait to see you at the table.
